3 Benefits of Workplace Flexibility
Today’s workplace is incredibly demanding. Companies haven’t been replacing laid off employees, leaving the remaining employees to pick up the pieces. This created discontent, disengagement and disconnect or mass exiting. Now, employers are finally concerned about acquiring and retaining talent. As a result, many are making changes to how and when employees report to work.

Stegmeier Consulting’s Insight…
Future talent attraction and retention efforts will likely focus heavily on opportunities organizations have for employees to work flexibly. According to this article, 82% of respondents in a FlexJobs survey reported increased opportunities for flexible work would in-turn increase an employee’s loyalty.
But benefits of flexible work do not end at simply being able to recruit and maintain talent levels. The study shows workers also believe flexibility would allow for an improved quality of life and increased productivity, as well.
With all the benefits uncovered by this study and others like it in recent years, why then would an organization be hesitant to implement such policies immediately? Often times the answer has to do with the amount of change an organization believes they can handle. Implementing a flexible work program could involve the formation of new policies and protocols, training for both newly flexible workers and their leaders, and of course, a process to determine quality candidates for flexible or remote work in the first place.
Fortunately, Stegmeier Consulting Group can assist with all of those endeavors.
