bright-open-concept-office-space-15When: Tuesday, September 15th 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
No term provokes more debate today than “open office.” While several media pundits over the last year have deemed the open office distracting and unproductive, the strategy remains an effective way to increase collaboration and reduce real estate costs. With so much negativity surrounding the subject, however, how can a workforce come to not only survive, but thrive, within the open plan?

Session #3: Generational Trends Shaping the Workplace of the Futuremanaging millenials
When: Wednesday, September 16th 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Generational specialist Sandy Crocker Hosfeld will share her insights on how the four generations in the workforce are influencing current and future office environments. How can organizations help these groups coexist, and what steps can be taken to help companies attract and retain the best possible young talent?

Session #4: Engaging Employees in Workplace Change: Voice vs. Voteworkforce
When: Wednesday, September 16th 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Engaged employees have a higher degree of change readiness than those who are disengaged. In particular, employees want to give their input whenever a change is being planned that will affect their work style or work environment. This session educates leaders on how to engage employees for feedback, while still focusing on and moving forward with a new workplace strategy.

remote meetingSession #5: Ignoring Flex Work: The Fast Track to 2nd Place
When: Thursday, September 17th 10:00 am – 11:00 am
Flex work–whether mobility programs, telecommuting, compressed work weeks, the ability to work flexible hours, or other flexible work arrangements–is no longer considered a “work perk.” Employees of all age groups are recognizing the many benefits of flex work, and are seeking jobs with flexible organizations accordingly. Smart employers have learned there are competitive advantages to offering their employees flex options. Don’t risk losing talent to competitors due to a rigid work policy!
