BACKGROUND
Innovations in Office Design: The Critical Influence Approach to Effective Work Environments, the book written by Diane Stegmeier, was released for worldwide distribution by publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. in February 2008. Today, readers from around the globe benefit from the experiences shared by more than 200 organizations and individual professionals, who contributed to the publication's 12 case studies, 160 photographs & illustrations, numerous best practices, and countless examples demonstrating the universal impact the Critical Influence System has on behavior in the workplace.
The growing demand for Stegmeier Consulting Group's change management and organizational effectiveness services has resulted in a strategic plan to share the firm's ongoing research findings through new publications, workshops, and toolkits—all focused on leveraging human capital and pursuing performance optimization in the workplace.
We are considering examples for possible inclusion in Diane Stegmeier's second book, From Resistance to Results: A Business Leader's Guide to Managing in the New Workplace. The publication will focus on lessons learned and best practices in overcoming managers' resistance to workplace change. It will address the need to better support mid-level managers, who are often ill-prepared to implement changes handed down from the organizational executives. The author's goal is for this book to become a primer for the broad group of managers sandwiched in the middle of the typical corporation who often feel exempt from the behavioral changes expected of the rest of the workforce. Stegmeier seeks to prepare managers to help their direct reports through the frustrations of workplace change, as well as overcome their own resistance. |
